Volunteer

Acolyte

​Being an acolyte is a wonderful way in which young men and women (usually 10 and older) can serve by lighting candles and assisting with the sacrament of holy communion.

Prayer Chain

Men and women can serve as prayer warriors on the Good Shepherd Prayer Chain. Be willing to pray whenever a need arises – day or night. If you have a prayer request for yourself or others, please call the Church Office at (505) 281-2013. Requests can be anonymous – God knows who we are praying for!​

Elders

Elders are assistants to the Pastor, they assist with all aspects of ministry including helping with the worship service, leading prayers and bible study, visiting members and advising the congregation on matters of doctrine.

Altar Guild

​Members of the Altar Guid are responsible for preparing the sanctuary and altar area for worship.  They arrange the paraments and banners, set up for baptisms and holy communion and care for all of the altar-ware and furnishings.  They ensure the worship area is set for the appropriate season of the church calander.

Greeters

Greeters serve as the first contact to all who enter the facility.  They help visitors find their place, give instructions on the service, and offer a hardy welcome.

Fellowship Refreshments

​Members bringing refreshments for fellowship time on a rotating basis.  Coffee, juice, and snacks makes for excellent conversation and mingling. 

Sunday School Teachers

​Teaching children about Jesus is highly rewarding often making life-long memories for students and teachers alike. Classes are grouped by age from Preschool through High School.

Librarian

​Yes, Libraries still exist!  Ours is filled with many books on religion, history, and spiritual growth.  We also have moves, tapes and CD's. Librarians, help keep it all in order as well as make book and movie recommendations for our monthly newsletter.
